Teh tired (365.2.33)

I'm watching Iron Chef here. Not just absently staring into space. Although that would have worked too.
skylines are my doodle of choice. they were all over my notebooks in high school. i couldn't wait to leave the 'burbs. yeah, same 'burb where I now live. funny isn't it, what we become when we grow up.
nice deckle -- heh
I'm not the only one! It's a Canadian thing.
That is a sweet sweet mug.
yay Iron Chef
second the Yay, Iron Chef!
Jon has this same mug, only it says "Bald is Beautiful". HA HA!!
I have one of these that says "What deadline?!" I thought it was SO GREAT since I work at a newspaper but now I think I'm setting myself up for a life of journalism tchotchkes.
I dunno. I'm Canadian and I don't say "deckle."
Might be an old timers thing. Like "The Canada Tire" or "Oh, my stars and garters." Grandparent-speak, if you will.
... and if no Canadians jumped off a bridge would you... wait, what? Moral: One person not doing something doesn't mean that other people don't not do it? Hrm. Need more whisky in the coffee.

For some unknown reason, the cats have flipped their schedules over the last couple weeks. Every night at 1am the two of them start dancing all over the bed. They’ll settle down for a couple hours and then it starts all over again at 4am.

Today consisted of alternately sitting on the couch, playing video games and randomly waking the cats up and moving them around. See how YOU like it, kittehs.

Also, I didn’t finish putting that cityscape vinyl decal on the wall. Tomorrow maybe.

I am in HYSTERICS that you kept waking the cats up today. "Take that, kitteh!"

I was just going to ask if that skyline was new - I love it. I think your strategy is highly entertaining - I think we need some video of that. "WAKE UP TEEK!"

For even less effort, just start packing a water pistol and shoot them when they start to drift off.

Let's hope the kittehs don't get you back tonight. This could be quite the Kitteh War.

Love that decal.

Alternatively, have you tried squirting them with water when they are being horrible at night? Maybe they'll go be horrible elsewhere then. This is why our dudes are not allowed in the bedroom at night. We would never, ever sleep. Sometimes it sounds like we're getting robbed, they're causing such a commotion in the living room.

Such a good idea about waking the cats. I decided to follow your lead, and I think these kitties will be tired out tonight. The decal is very cool, by the way.

OMG, you're hysterical. My fish wall decals are still in the box. Now I'm thinking I should repaint the bathroom before putting them up.

we used to do this to our cat when she got on furniture we didn't want her messing with. However, the water gun we had took a couple pumps to start working, so she would just here the first little psssh when we pulled it and take off running.

So hear you. We have a new kitty that is teaching the old kitty bad habits. IE let's run up and down the hallway and across the bed a few times a night. I do the wake the kitty thing up too :)

That skyline is a crazy good idea.

oh, silly kitties.

The squirting with water was a massive FAIL with our cats...they'll just stand there and take it, lick themselves off, and go right back to whatever they're doing. Also, every time I take a shower when I'm alone in the house, I am terrified we're being robbed because the cats are so noisy (since they have no one to keep them company, and I so don't let them hang out in the bathroom with me).

oh, that decal is soooooo awesome!

OMG, I'm dying that you are waking up your cats.

Waking up the cats is so mean! I love it. Did they sleep better last night?

Melanie Allan wrote...
Yeah, don't let them get away with that shit.

Yep! Straight through til 5am when Indy started pawing at my shoulder for me to get up and make breakfast. We booted them both out of the bedroom and they teamed up taking turns crying and scratching at the door. But still! They made it til 5, so that's progress. Whenever I walked past Teek today and reached out to pet him, he squeaked a little in 'don't pick me up please' protest. Heh.
