phragmites! My sister always takes her kids on service trips to yank those up. They're invasive! They were probably coming to get you.

Gak- this reminds me of "children of the corn," which I saw too, too young and haunts me still. He's coming for you next, Malachai!

SOOC = Straight out of camera. No post-processing whatsoever, not even a crop. OUTLANDAAAAR! Dude. Freaked me out too. I saw it in a church basement which made it creepier. Children of the Phragmites!

Funny! You're really making me want to see what was to the right of the photo that you have that look on your face.

ha! malachai scared me to death. i wonder if that movie holds up as scary at all. hmm.. so i came back to look at this because i can't believe how this shot turned out. it almost doesn't look real (in a good way). i'm really digging it.

Harumph. Now I'm all scaredypants remembering Children of the Corn. But you are awfully pretty here, Caro.

Such a great shot. However, if that's where I think it is? It's the geese that you should be worried about. They may be cute, but they are mean.

I love that you just creep in the verrrry edge of the thumbnail size.

Beware the evil phragmites! I can't bring myself to watch Children of the Corn, I'd never leave the house. Yes, scary movies freak me out.

That's crazy tall grass! At first I thought you photoshopped yourself in!

Ha! And also, isn't it a little cold out for the guys to be out screwing in the reeds? (Umm, Thom used to be a park ranger in this area ... he can tell you stories some day. You know, if he'd actually come out of his shell and converse with my friends!)

Yeah, I wasn't so much worried about geese as I was methheads and hobos. Heh.
