Thorpe in progress (365.2.12)

The flight from Vancouver to Houston is just the right amount of time to knit Thorpe. Well, almost. I knit the earflaps while waiting in the Presidents Club for my connecting flight home to Boston. I also ran out of yarn on the bind off row. 12 lousy stitches are still on the needles while I try and dig up enough scrap yarn to finish it off. The crochet edge will be in another colour, natch.

Did you adjust the pattern for a different gauge?

Just a little. I knit the large size on 8's and then added in one more round of increases. I'll add the number tweaks to the project notes on Ravelry. Easy peasy.

oh man - worst time to run out of yarn :( did you already use a whole skein of the 220?

Yep, there was just under half a ball leftover from one of the Husband Sweaters. I'm sure I have a 12 inch snippet of it laying around somewhere. I hope. If not, eh, I'll bind of in a different colour.

Oh I love my new Thorpe. I really hope you can find enough in the stash to finish it. You can always bind off in the same color you will crochet with (I'm sure you've thought of this already) it won't even be noticed.
