Have you SEEN the new Jessica Jones fabrics for JCaroline? Srsly. With brown zippers? So going to be boxbags in the near future.
Also, Franklin Mill is officially my new favourite local fabric store.

franklin mill in franklin mass is actually a one owner shop which is great. not a big box store at all. it's got yarn and fabric and japanese craft books etc.

wtf. I had NEVER head of this place before and not 10 minutes ago I just received an email from them advertising their wares. And now you mention them! Unless you got the same email, which makes it not quite as remarkable. I wonder if they bought Fabric Place's mailing list?
Bertha Crowley wrote...
Wait, they have YARN too? Oh shit.
Danielle wrote...
Yes! I got the same email and had the same thought.

my understanding of the place is that it's mostly upolstery and curtain type fabrics.
yes they do. and stitch stuff and japanese craft books. and sewing machines. and gifts and toys. it's relatively small but the owner is really open to what's hip and stuff. i made some recommendations for some yarn purchases (which she followed) and when i mentioned "the internet" she didn't go postal on me. in fact, she's familiar with ravelry.

Yep! And the yarn is 30% off right now.

Ah! That's why I don't have one near me. LOL! I've heard of Franklin Mill from searching on the internet for a particular fabric and stumbled upon them. No online ordering I guess. :(
maryse wrote...
not right now i don't think.

i was there on saturday. some of their yarn is 30% off -- the stuff they're trying to get rid of that they aren't reordering. and then everything is an additional 20% off. so i got some great stuff for 50% off. haven't had time to photograph it yet though.

I wish we had better fabric stores over here :( There are 4 fabric stores in town and none of them do anything like the fabric you make your lovely things out of.
ps. your expression is fab! :D
