that girl with the headphones is laughing again

Way back in May I first mentioned that I'd become addicted to the crafty/knitty podcasts. And I'm still addicted. The commuter listening list over there in the side bar has my faves, but sometimes you have to sing out the love and not just relegate it to a quiet link. Currently there are two podcasts for which I will forsake all others. These are podcasts that will cause me to forget to put the milk in my coffee in my morning haste to get out the door and thus begin the listening faster.

Caro_and_christineThe first one is the ever-delightful Pointy Sticks. I had the occasion to meet Christine twice this summer and I'm looking forward to the next time just as eagerly (if you're in Texas you should come with!) She's a bundle of energy and I have to confess, I think I have a wee bit of a girl crush. Part of it might be because she pimps my etsy stuff and asks nothing in return, but really, it's because she's a ton of fun to be around. She's an amazing photographer too (here's my chance to pimp her etsy shop) as evidenced by the fact that she took this fabulous picture of us in one take. I'm also amazed that she managed to get me looking cute without the double chin that normally accompanies all my pictures.

The second podcast is Lime and Violet. If you haven't listened to it yet, you're missing out. Seriously*. This is the podcast that makes me snort out loud laughing on the bus every single episode. They are to knitting podcasts what the Yarn Harlot is to knitting blogs. Fantastic stuff.

Any others that I should be listening to?

(*LnV listeners now have to drink)

Ok, fine. I give up. I'll do the podcast thing. I'm not sure why I've been fighting it so long. I'm sure I'll be back to thank you profusely for your wise fiberous ways. Have a great weekend, Caro!

Considering the day I met you - for what, less than an hour? - and then at the Harlot visit, I walked away in this haze of "Caro ... she is so fabulous ... she cracks me up ... she is so awesome ..." Well, now I'm just cracking up about what you wrote here. I *heart* Caro. And have you seen my business card holder? *giggle*

Seriously. I will be in Austin soon - heck, I would be there tonight if I could! - and we will totally get together.

I'm a big fan of Cast On, and Crafty Pod. I've tried several others, but was turned off by the length, production quality, lack of focus, etc. So it's nice to read your specific reviews, because I've been reluctant to try any of the others. Now I'm off to download Lime and Violet. Thanks!

Love podcasts, especially when I am traveling. It's like I can bottle up all of my hobbies and take them in my pocket with me everywhere. I always have a like-minded friend with me. :)
Pretty photo!

Lime and Violet is one of my favorites too. I'm also a Cast On and Irie Knits subscriber.

Cast On, for sure. Brenda totally rocks. Also Its A Purl, Man is a fun one also.

Aren't you two cute? I can't wait for Kid N Ewe!

I love Lime & Violet! (I started listening after you recommended it--Thanks) and of course Pointy Sticks rocks--I listened on the plane from Austin to NY and almost got caught up.

I'm totally in for Kid N Ewe, but I can't figure this wiki thing out to save my life. :(

I love POinty Sticks AND Lime 'n Violet.... L&V and Cast On are my two favorites. :)
