I had a shipment of zippers go missing off our front porch. My serger needle thread keeps breaking and the whole machine desperately needs to go to the spa. My iron keeps peeing water out from below the plate. All of this 3 weeks before <a href="http://www.bazaarbizarre.org/boston.html">Bazaar Bizarre</a>. I'm making a metric tonne of box bags and the new mini box bags, so look for plenty of those. I've since knit up all the yarn I got then as <a href="http://www.splityarn.com/split_yarn/2008/03/positives-and-n.html">Wicked</a>, <a href="http://www.splityarn.com/split_yarn/2008/03/one-stripe-for.html">The Totally Not Noro Noro scarf</a>, <a href="http://www.splityarn.com/split_yarn/2007/02/vertes_feuilles.html">Backyard Leaves</a> and the <a href="http://www.splityarn.com/split_yarn/2007/04/how_about_a_mot.html">Shetland Triangle.</a></p><p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/splityarn/2974508229/" title="brooks farm mas acero by splityarn, on Flickr"><img alt="brooks farm mas acero" height="333" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3228/2974508229_9a39f668fe.jpg" width="500" /></a></p><p>I haven't got plans for all these yarns yet, but I'm thinking a scarf or two, a wrap, and after seeing <a href="http://www.mayarn.com/mayarncom/2008/10/getting-it-right.html">Maya's version</a> in person maybe a <a href="http://www.flintknits.com/blog/?p=151">grown-ass woman sweater</a> for myself. So basically all the same base projects, just different versions. I got to the point where I'd met so many people that I've only known online that when I bumped into <a href="http://brainylady.blogspot.com/">Brainylady Alison</a> in the Brooks Farm Booth, I didn't even take pictures. It was simply "Alison! Hi!" "Caro, hi!" we chatted and then kept shopping like it was any old Sunday afternoon. Please note that those pics were all taken within a span of 30 minutes. I swear. Ahem.) Remember when I went to <a href="http://www.splityarn.com/split_yarn/2008/06/i-had-the-good-fortune-of-going-to-philadelphia-a-couple-weekends-ago-to-hang-with-an-amazing-crew-of-women-that-ive-known-online-for-ages-some-i-knew-better-than-others-but-safe-to-say-that-theyre-all-much-much-closer-now-we-knit-joke.html">Philly in May</a>? We just did it all again except in Boston this time. OMG fun. If you have pals via blogs or flickr and find yourself constantly emailing, IM'ing, texting on a daily basis, you should really set up a meetup. I laughed (and talked, holy smokes can I talk) so much this weekend that my voice still has not recovered. October is so crankin' busy this year.</p><p>1. I went to London for 10 days. Box bags. I'm making as many as I can, but they won't go on sale <a href="http://shop.splityarn.com">in the shop</a> until December because...</p><p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/splityarn/2887992766/" title="Srsly. I was accepted as a vendor this year at <a href="http://www.bazaarbizarre.org/">Bazaar Bizarre Boston</a>. I'll be sharing a table with the talented <a href="http://www.stitchymcyarnpants.com/moks06/">Stitchy McYarnpants</a>. Sharing a table takes some of the pressure off, but I'm hoping to get a TONNE of products made. Shop updates will be a bit thin until after the show, but I'm still hoping to crank out a ton for both.</p><p>4. Next weekend is Rhinebeck. My first ever. I'll be stalking the Brooks Farm booth and I'll be at the Ravelry party, so be sure to say hi if you see me! (No, I'm totally not knitting a Rhinebeck Sweater.
